A yoga holiday gives you time to settle into a slower rhythm, with gentle movement, restful days and space to enjoy being away. At The Yoga Collaboration, we bring these elements together in peaceful surroundings, helping you take a break that feels nourishing and personal.
Our yoga retreats combine guided practice with beautiful accommodation, thoughtful meals and time for yourself. You can begin the day on the mat, spend an afternoon reading or resting, and enjoy an evening practice that helps you unwind before bed.
You might be taking your first holiday alone, travelling with a friend or making room for yourself after a demanding few months. We welcome you with warmth and give you space to find your own pace. Small groups keep the atmosphere relaxed, with support close at hand throughout your stay.

A welcoming place to begin
You do not need to be flexible or familiar with yoga to enjoy a yoga holiday with us. Our holidays welcome complete beginners, people returning after a break and those who already have a regular practice.
The patient approach behind our yoga retreat for beginners carries through to the way we guide every guest. Teachers explain movements clearly and offer different options, so you can work comfortably with your body rather than trying to match anyone else.
For more experienced guests, a few days away offer an opportunity to give yoga your full attention. Without squeezing a class between other commitments, you can notice how a posture feels, spend longer with your breath and enjoy the quieter moments of each session.
Days with room to rest
A yoga holiday should leave enough space for you to enjoy the holiday itself. We plan a gentle balance of guided sessions and free time, allowing you to settle into each day without feeling hurried.
Morning practice can help you wake up gradually and ease into movement. Later sessions may include slower yoga, guided relaxation or mindfulness, with the programme shaped around the individual retreat. Our experienced teachers bring attentive guidance to these practices, helping you feel supported as you find what suits you.
Between sessions, your time is your own. You can:
- Sit outside with a book and enjoy the surroundings.
- Write a few thoughts in a journal.
- Return to your room for an afternoon rest.
- Enjoy a quiet moment over a cup of tea.
- There is no expectation to fill every hour.
That freedom matters when you are used to managing busy days. Having fewer decisions to make, and knowing you can take a quiet moment whenever you need one, can make it easier to relax into your stay.
Comfortable company and personal space
Many guests join us independently. Arriving alone can feel like a big step, but a small, welcoming group gives you time to get to know people gently.
Shared meals and familiar faces at morning practice offer easy opportunities for conversation. You can enjoy company when you feel sociable and have time to yourself when you would prefer some quiet. Both are welcome.
Coming with a friend can also be a lovely way to spend time together away from everyday responsibilities. You can share the experience while still choosing how much you each take part in.
A yoga holiday in the Catalonian countryside
Our Girona retreat in 2027 brings together five days of gentle yoga, nourishing plant-based food and rest in a peaceful Mediterranean setting. Taking place from 30 June to 4 July, it offers four nights away with time to settle into the surroundings.
During your stay, you can:
- Begin your mornings with yoga in the dedicated shala and enjoy evening practice in the yurt.
- Spend time in the pool, sauna and hot tub, or relax with a book on the terrace.
- Join a trip to a nearby beach village, with time to swim, wander or enjoy the view.
- Share nourishing plant-based meals prepared by a private chef using fresh, local ingredients.
Flights and airport transfers are booked separately, and treatments carry an additional cost. We can discuss the travel arrangements and available accommodation with you before you reserve your place.
Thoughtful comfort throughout your stay
The care that shapes our luxury yoga retreats is present in the details that help you feel at ease. Calm places to practise, comfortable spaces to rest and an unhurried approach to meals all contribute to the experience.
Food gives you another reason to pause. Sitting down to a nourishing meal, enjoying the flavours and talking with fellow guests can become a much-loved part of the day. Please share any dietary requirements when you enquire so we can discuss arrangements for your chosen retreat.
Before booking, we will help you understand what is included, the room options and any additional costs. Facilities and programmes vary between locations, so you can choose with a clear idea of what your stay will involve.
Bringing a little calm home
A yoga holiday can help you notice the things that make you feel well. That might be gentle movement in the morning, a few minutes of quiet breathing or taking a proper break during the day.
Our yoga classes offer the same warm guidance at our Lancashire countryside studio, giving local guests a familiar way to continue practising after their holiday. You can also make room at home for the simple practices you enjoyed during your stay.
A few minutes of rest or gentle movement can help you make space for yourself within your usual routine.
